Henry Halstead Limited

Regent Assay Corporate Finance completed its second deal in as many months with the disposal of Henry Halstead to ParkOhio.

Henry Halstead, headquartered in Preston and with a north east branch in Boldon, originated from a manufacturing base in 1880 before moving into distribution in the 1970’s. Today it is a leading supplier of Total Component Management Systems to manufacturing businesses, providing value added services to customers in the Automotive, Electronics, Furniture Manufacturing, Domestic Appliances and Machine Tool Builders sectors.

Regent Assay advised the owners of Henry Halstead, Shancastle Investment Ltd and Mike McHugh, on the sale of the Business to ParkOhio, a large diversified manufacturing services and products holding company, based in Cleveland, Ohio, which has operations in over 80 countries and annual revenues of over $1bn.

Stadium Group PLC (Plastics Division)

Regent Assay successfully completed a deal with the AIM listed Electronics Manufacturing Services provider, Stadium Group PLC. The deal involved the disposal of Stadium’s Branded Plastics Division, allowing the group to focus solely on its high growth electronics business.

The plastics business, which makes a range of consumer products including baby bath sets for Mothercare and “Flexi tubs” for home and commercial use, had been a successful subsidiary of Stadium for some time but had become non-core as the group moves towards becoming a specialist electronics business. The buyer was Flambeau Europlast Ltd, a subsidiary of Nordic Group, a privately owned company based in Wisconsin USA.
