A BRIEF CHAT WITH…INDRAJEET MOHITE
Following from last month, the Assay Q&A returns for July with this month’s star being Indrajeet Mohite. Indra is an analyst in London and has been with Assay for 2 years.
Tell us about what you are currently working on
Working on some interesting projects involving acquisition of a medium sized Ophthalmology business, sale of a land remediation business and raising funds for a company that has developed a unique technology to sterilise food products.
What deal are you most proud of?
Each deal has its own complexities, but the one which has been quite memorable involved structuring a merger between a rapidly growing street furniture business and an established retail point of sale business in the UK.
What non work related achievement are you most proud of?
Extending the current body of knowledge and publishing a paper on value creation n a leading peer reviewed finance journal as part of my PhD in Finance.
What’s the first thing you would do if you won the lottery tomorrow?
Perhaps invest in Jasper Private Equity.
Who would you say is your hero?
Nikola Tesla – there is a lot to learn from this man.
What’s the most challenging job you have ever done?
Acquiring an ex-Soviet oil and gas field in the Republic of Georgia and learning Georgian and Russian to manage the local staff.
When you are not at Assay what do you like to do to relax?
Many things – but primarily running and yoga.
Tell us something about yourself that people would be surprised about
I support various charities involved in providing primary education to children with special needs and those coming from low income families.
Do you have an industry focus or speciality?
Have worked with clients from different industries but been more focused on healthcare than on any other sector.
